Educational and social projects at the Sinfonietta
As the only classical orchestra in the south, the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva brings a unique
voice to the city. An important part of its work is to provide educational-social activities for
the children of Beer Sheva and the Negev.
The program includes classroom lessons, an in-school concert by an ensemble of musicians,
and a crowning musical experience at the end of the year: a full orchestral concert! The
program is conducted jointly with the Ministry of Education and the Institute for the
Advancement of Integration. Some 4,500 students take part in it.
A musical experience for children in the after-school facilities of the Negba association
The children of the clubs participate in preparatory sessions given to them by the musicians of the orchestra in the clubs and come to the Mishkan for the performing arts to watch the concerts held as part of the concert series for the whole family by Sinfonietta
The project is supported by Bank Hapoalim and the Department of Welfare of the Beer Sheva Municipality
To Experience the Sounds
An annual program of musical education for third-grade students in all the elementary schools in Beer Sheva.
The program includes classroom lessons, an in-school concert by a small group of musicians,
and a crowning musical experience at the end of the year: a full orchestral concert! The
program is conducted jointly with the Ministry of Education and the Institute for the
Advancement of Integration. Some 4,500 students take part in it.
The program is supported by Adama-Makhteshim, the Azrieli Foundation, and an anonymous donor.

The Israel Sinfonietta Be’er Sheva invites you to register for the course and take part in a musical, cultural and social experience that will enrich your inner world and… the number of credits for the degree!
All this – in only six meetings, which include an introductory lecture and a musical concert.
Hundreds of students from Ben-Gurion University and the academic colleges in the area visit the concert hall in the unique series of its kind in Israel to get to know the orchestra and the music, which combines a cultural experience with academic credits.
This is an experiential academic course for lovers of classical music or for students interested in an initial taste of the diverse and rich musical culture. As part of the course, you are exposed to a wide variety of music – starting from the classical works of the great composers and ending with world music in various modern styles.
During the course, different lecturers and conductors will be hosted.
