Yair Nagid was born in the city of Be'er Sheva in 1972 Graduated with a bachelor's degree in social sciences and humanities at the Open University and a master's degree in management and public policy at Ben Gurion University and a graduate of the Mendel program for leadership in the public sector. After 25 years in the public sector with diverse roles in urban culture, Yair came to the Israel Sinfonietta Beer Sheva. In his previous position, he served as head of the Be'er Sheva cultural directorate. The first employee of the youth wing that was established in 1999 in the municipality of Beer Sheva under the leadership of the current mayor Mr. Rubik Danilovich. As part of his duties, he enriched the cultural life in the city of Beer Sheva, which became the cultural center of the Negev. He built a diverse urban cultural repertoire, founded the events division, was a partner in the establishment of a variety of cultural institutions in the city of Beer Sheva: the Telmaniyeh, Beit HaMhol, Moloalem, the Artichoke Gallery, the Becter Gallery, Beit Homa, the sculpture garden in Gan Remez and more, brought international shows and art exhibitions, Produced urban festivals and events such as: the wine festival, the beach party, the beer festival, the spice avenue, the urban circles festival, the coffee festival, the city of youth, the Gezuz festival and more. For the past 4 years, he has also been serving as the vice chairman of the Association of Cultural Directors in the local authorities and responsible for government relations of the union. Has rich experience in television production and creation. Served as editor and broadcaster of prime time programs at Radio Darom, Took part in establishing the production department of Radio Darom, produced many commercial broadcasts and engaged in musical editing and narration. He began his military service as a fighter in the Paratroopers. To this day, he volunteers for the reserves as an information officer in the Home Front Command with the rank of major.
